Season & Wine

The 2008 vintage looks like being a good year for us. There was no disease and no frost. We just had enough water in our dam and were reasonably unaffected by the drought. Although there was a hot spell in February, the quality of our grapes this year was very good. We are currently making the following wines for release in 2009:
- Shiraz
- Cabenet Sauvignon
- Nebbiolo
- Barbera

Awards & Trophies

Our 2006 Reserve Shiraz was awarded a major trophy for Best Shiraz of Show, as well as a Gold Medal the recent Daylesford Wine Show. There were over seventy entries in the shiraz class. The show dinner was held at the prestigious Lakehouse restaurant in Daylesford and the award-winnning Glenwillow Reserve Shiraz was selected on the menu. For our small, boutique vineyard, this was quite an achievement.

New Releases
8 August 2008
We will be releasing our new Glenwillow wines for 2007 shortly. Unfortunately, since 2007 was such a shocker for us (we lost around 90% of our grapes to frost), we will only have one wine. This will be the Reserve Shiraz and should be a “cracker” since the yield was extremely low at about ½ tonne/acre. We hope to release this wine in late 2008 or early 2009. There will be only very limited availability of this Reserve Shiraz - so be early.
