Regional World's Longest Lunch Bendigo

Friday 16th March 2018

March marks the biggest event for the wine industry in Victoria, the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival. Held from the 16th to the 25th of March, this major event is spearheaded by the Bank of Melbourne and will feature various wineries and food establishments.

In line with this 10-day celebration, various regions in Victoria will hold their own events.

Bendigo delights every year with the vibrant World's longest lunch.

Dine under the canopy of heritage trees in Bendigo's Rosalind Park and enjoy incredible wines from Bendigo’s gold-bearing soils at Regional World's Longest Lunch Bendigo. A six-course degustation menu presented by Wine Bank on View chefs will be matched with Bendigo region wines. Wines from the region are blind-tasted by a panel of home-grown sommeliers and wine buyers. and chosen to match each course. This year Glenwillow's 2015 Nebbiolo will be matched to one of the six amazing courses on offer..... So come and join myself and other Fyffe clan members as we celebrate some of the finest food and wine in the area.

Tickets are on sale from Wine Bank on View on 03 5444 4655., or online from TryBooking. Tickets are $130 per person.

The Bendigo winemakers will be celebrating the end of harvest with the Strategem Bendigo Winemakers Festival. Once again transforming the tranquil Rosalind Park into an open-air wine and food festival.

The highlight will be wine tastings from Bendigo region wineries where scores of wine styles will be showcased. There are more than 70 wines, some traditional and many unique, including reds, whites, rose and sparkling.

Live music from The Northern Folk and Erica Hawkey will make you smile. Wine education pop-ups, lawn activities and food available from regional street foodies will round out a perfect day. Wine by the glass or bottle can be purchased to enjoy on site. Bring along a picnic rug to sit and soak up the festival atmosphere. Or opt for indulgence by booking one of the VIP marquees.
